Otto Vallastro from Lynchburg, Virgina/US, a passionate Model Builder and the only one I know doing model cars in Balsa wood, wrote to me in June 2016:

 "Hi, came across your website and enjoyed viewing your beautiful work. You are a real craftsman. I have been carving for a lot of years, I am 83 years old and still make a few for some of my old customers. It is always good to talk with someone who does the same hobby. I looked at some of your models, they are great and very life like. ... It is good to talk to someone who knows the degree of difficulty it take to make this kind of projects. We do the same thing but yet different. I like your type as much as mine ... "

Uwe from Sarsted, Germany, build almost all of his models with matchsticks reaching an impressive level of detail. He commented:

As children we have dreamed of our own world: we first draw it, then we build it in Lego. Later, as adults, still we like to build objects and dioramas which reflects our imaginary world we carry in us. Sometimes it is only a model of a car, a ship or an airplane, sometimes it is a remote control to bring toys alive.  Balsa Manufaktur uses the beauty of the exotic Balsa Wood to design and build vintage car models.  The models are created by laser cutter and built carefully by hand.
